Some of the albums up here are really quite old (the poor slideshows have had to be modified as their coding has become obsolete and therefore look a lot blurrier than the newer ones). So why keep them up there? One of the coolest things about my job is that many, many of my wedding couples have become long term clients and I see them again and again. Whenever I think about deleting their online album, it makes me sad. They are my friends and I love seeing them up here even if I've shot at that location a dozen time since then or shot it better, it doesn't really matter to me anymore. I love these photos (in all their iterations from gloriously clear to super blurry) because I love these people!
If you are looking for anything related to; Michigan and Detroit wedding photographers, online wedding galleries, "best of" wedding photography gallery, portfolios, wedding day albums and wedding photos, you're at the right place. If owning rights to your wedding photos is a concern, you do own your rights the day of your wedding and you'll have all your images within two weeks of your Michigan wedding day. This section above has a gallery of my wedding portfolio and many samples of my work as a metro detroit MI wedding photographer. Some Michigan wedding photographers are not realizing that couples actually want to own their own images. My philosophy has always been that you should have full access and printing privileges to your own wedding!
I photograph weddings all over the state of Michigan, but the vast majority of my wedding photography takes place in the Metro Detroit area. The above wedding albums take place in the following locations; Planterra Conservatory Wedding Photography, Matthaei Botanical Gardens wedding in Ann Arbor, The Detroit Golf Club wedding photos, Colony Club wedding photography, The Reserve Wedding in Birmingham, Pine Trace Wedding Photos in Rochester, traditional Nigerian weddings in Detroit, Addison Oaks Wedding Photography (I'm there a LOT), Detroit Athletic Club Weddings, The Woodlands Van Buren Golf Course weddings, Sweetest Heart of Mary Wedding Photos, Henry Ford Museum Wedding Photos, The Dearborn Inn wedding photography, Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor Wedding, Blossom Heath wedding photography, Detroit Wedding photography, Inn at St. Johns Wedding photos, White Chapel Wedding Photography, Royal Park Hotel wedding photography, Indian Springs Wedding Photography, Lovett Hall Wedding Photos, Tina's Country House wedding photos, Scarab Club Art Museum Wedding Photography, Troy Historical Society Wedding, Laurel Manor Wedding Photos, Grosse Pointe Academy wedding photography, and about 1,000 other locations. I've tried to include samples from locations that I've been to many, many times. I photograph weddings at the University of Michigan's Union and the Michigan League often. I also photograph at MSU's wedding chapel regularly and I've photographed weddings in just about every major country club, Museum, Historic Detroit venue you can imagine. I can't believe I don't have a sample album up from the Waterview Loft as I'm there all the time. You'll see samples from these and other venues in my "best of the year" galleries on the right hand side of the list.
If you're not sure what the difference between a Detroit, Michigan wedding photojournalist is and what a regular wedding photographer is, it's quite simple. A photojournalist is trained to be patient and wait for those peak moments to happen. That takes time, patience and a certain ability to anticipate when something's about to happen. Studio photographers who offer photojournalist packages don't have the patience or time to wait for cool, natural moments to happen, so they create them and will give you script of "candid moments" they are happy to photograph. If an elephant walked through the middle of your ceremony dollar to donuts, he'd miss it! He wouldn't be looking behind his back or it wouldn't be on his shots list. Wedding photojournalism has become very popular in MI and real Michigan photojournalists are cutting into their wedding photography business, so they're now offering these packages. Notice how each of the portfolios and wedding galleries above are unique. Every couple is unique and every wedding day is different. They each have their own wedding day story to tell. I wanted to show you that look, here are 30 different weddings that tell 30 different stories and yet they all have lots and lots of great wedding photographs at the end of the day. You will too. Thanks for reading this through and if you're looking for more information, keep digging through the site, I've got tons of great tips and answers to every wedding photography related questions you can think of.
