Why Have a Photojournalist Cover Your Wedding?

Thanks for finding me. I'm so glad you're here!

My number one goal for each and every wedding day is that you can put the experience of your wedding day back together so you can relive it for decades to come.

I want you to feel something when you look at these other couple's wedding day stories. Are they serious? Are they silly? What was happening behind the scenes? I want you and all your friends and family to feel like the true story of your wedding day was documented thoroughly along with your personalities, the flavor of the day and all those tiny little things that make your wedding day completely unique.
Capturing all those fleeting moments is the secret sauce to my wedding photography success. That seems the number one draw for my wedding photos. The other thing that draws near Detroit wedding couples to me is the epic portraits I make sure I get each and every wedding.

Everybody loves my photojournalism, but honestly, the photos that end up hanging on their walls are the epic couples images I look for and create on their wedding day. What do I mean by creating epic wedding portraits? Isn't that super un-photojournalistic? Nah, back in the day at newspapers, we called them environmental portraits. It's looking around and finding something interesting in the lighting, or the venue (or optimally both!) that capture something cool and place the couple smack dab in the middle of their environment.

I strongly believe that there is no such thing as "too much information", so my wedding website is full of helpful things that I've learned from over 20 years experience. This page is a gateway into my site that provides couples looking for information about wedding photography in Michigan. I've got many examples of my Michigan wedding photographer's work with over 40 wedding photo galleries and wedding portfolios. I've got all my wedding photography prices listed clearly as well as wedding information about the various photo albums I know offer included flushmount albums and flush mount wedding albums. I've got a very extensive questions and answers page in an attempt to answer as many of your wedding and photography related questions as I can. I've also got tips, not only for planning your Michigan wedding (which so many of my couples are doing now that they live out of state), but also wedding planning tips for the day of the wedding.

I photograph weddings all over Michigan, but some of the venues I photograph weddings at all the time are Addison Oaks, Meadowbrook Hall, Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford, Dearborn Inn, Royal Park Hotel, the Inn at St. Johns, Stonebridge Golf Club, Waldenwoods, Vale Royal Barn, Ann Arbor City Club, Ovation and Infinity Yachts, Ypsilanti Freighthouse, Detroit Athletic Club, Colony Club, Gem Theater, Cliff Bell's, Iroquois Club, Troy Chapel, Van-Hoosen Farm, Holly Hotel, Masonic Temple, Wellers in Saline, The DIA, The Scarab Club, Rustbelt Market, Indian Springs Metropark, Red Ridinghood Stables, Pine Knob Mansion, The Reserve, Bay Pointe, Atheneum, Planterra, The Whitney, Waterview Loft and a lot more locations around the Metro Detroit area.

I've also included many wedding photo albums, a portfolio and gallery or galleries so that you can see that I photograph many candid moments during each and every wedding. I have a lot of specialties, but blending lifestyle moments (or what we always used to call actual photojournalism) and epic environmental portraiture has become my signature. You'll find those skills in all my photography; weddings, boudoir, engagements, seniors and events. Not so much with babies… their lifestyle is pretty much sleeping.I'm also photographing Michigan bar mitzvahs and Michigan bat mitzvah photography. The Jewish celebration of 13 year olds is fun and exciting!
