I don't always get the chance to be the engagement photographer for my Oakland County wedding couples, so when I do, it's really quite an honor. It's always interesting to me to see what my Michigan wedding couples do with the engagement portraits I take. Some couples use their engagement photos for save the date cards, some couples put their engagement pictures in frames for guest to sign at their wedding reception. Also, some of my Oakland County enagement couples I've photographed have used their photos from our engagement photo sessions as a guestbook at their wedding reception.

You own the rights to all 200 or so images and photos when I shoot them. The images arrive within two weeks of taking them and you can do whatever you'd like with them. The engagement photos I took for this page were taken near the church Jon & Theresa were going to get married and on the school grounds where she when to high school, so the location doesn't have to be super fancy, just cool enough to allow for some creativity. We can take a casual stroll through the grounds. I travel light and you look like you belong. As a Michigan wedding photojournalist, I like to get to know a couple after our first meeting and shoot on location somewhere in the metro Detroit area where we can take lots of natural engagement photographs.
