There were a couple of new wedding trends for 2011 that this Detroit, Michigan wedding photographer noticed. Firstly, most of my wedding photography took place very close to Detroit Michigan, so I didn't do a whole lot of travelling. I also noticed as a metro detroit wedding photojournalist that an usual amount of my brides were already dressed before my arrival, so you might not see as many Michigan wedding photographs of brides getting ready in my 2011 wedding portfolio as you would see in other years. I also managed to keep the pricing for my Detroit Michigan wedding photography the same for 7 years in a row!

Detroit Michigan photographers might also tell you that the trend this year was to have cocktail length wedding dresses which are both cute and practical! My Detroit Michigan photography also kept me busy through most of the fall... it seems that Michigan falls have become THE time to have a wedding over having a wedding in the spring. That is not to say you can't have challenging weather for weddings in any season. This metro Detroit wedding photojournalist got to shoot some amazingly dramatic weather during quite a few of my Michigan weddings and this Michigan wedding photographer also melted quite a bit in the summer of 2011 as the temperatures reached well over 100 degrees too often during the wedding photography season of 2011. Detroit Michigan wedding photography can be challenging when the weather doesn't co-operated, but then again, it sure made for some of the most dramatic wedding photos I've ever had the pleasure to shoot! Thanks to all my great couples who were happy to play in some pretty freaky weather.
