I was lucky enough to shoot JJ and Josh's engagement photos where we wandered around downtown Detroit scouting out places to shoot that held significance in their relationship. We had a lot of fun and the results are on my engagement page if you're interested in scouting that out. Now let's fast forward to their wedding. This is a fun couple who enjoy being silly together. Giggly, loving and very touchy feely. So imagine my surprise that this turned out to be the waterworks Michigan wedding of the year! They all cried, all the time. The family members, the bridal party, the bride and groom, me too! You can't be around that many happy tears and not have it get to you.

Their wedding reception was at the Lapeer Country Club. Because of the fall colors, we were able to get some nice photos out with Michigan's Genesee County's foliage during cocktail hour. After some fun with the cake, the waterworks started again during the dancing. You'll notice more wedding photos than her fair share of JJ's mom making some pretty funny faces. I don't pick on people, usually, but she made the BEST faces over reacting to everything around her, I just thought her expressions were the perfect counter part to all the boo hooing going on during the day. She was a super sport about it and I also made sure I had plenty of nice, flatter wedding photos of her as well.
