Katie and Mike.... aaahhh. An actress and a lawyer? Two peas in a pod are more like it! They knew my work from having shot Mike's sister's wedding earlier in the year and they had some pretty specific things they wanted me to include for their wedding. Certain styles they did like, others they wanted me to avoid like the plague. So I arrived at their wedding knowing I would be shooting a bit differently than I usually do. I was very much looking forward to this Ann Arbor wedding except for one teeny thing. The afternoon before the wedding I was rear ended which totaled our minivan. Mike and Katie's bridal party jumped in to help me carry my equipment since I did have a nasty case of whiplash. Turns out two of them had also been rear ended sometime that week! What are the odds of that?

The wedding was in Ann Arbor, Michigan and then we headed to University of Michigan's Law Quad for some fun photos. It was a cold spring day and that chill in the air provided great incentive for lots of group hugs. You'll see that the wedding party are pretty snugly compared to most formal wedding photographs. That's largely because they're cold! Their Ann Arbor wedding reception was held at University of Michigan's Michigan League where I served as wedding photographer.
