Ryan and Christina's Wyndham Garden
(formerly known as the Sterling Inn) in Sterling Heights,
Michigan featuring fun Macomb County wedding photography.
Ryan and Christina commuted in to Michigan for their family oriented wedding at the Wyndham Garden hotel (formerly known as the Sterling Inn) in Sterling Heights. The hotel was undergoing a much needed huge renovation during Ryan and Christina's wedding, so pardon if there aren't too many photos from the venue where they had both an indoor hall wedding and their reception. We drove to another location in Macomb County to get what I thought were some pretty amazing family and wedding party photos. Most of my couples do not like the part of the wedding day that involves family photos and wedding party photos. We never know exactly where we'll be taking them as it's largely dependent on light that day and availability of space. This album is unlike most of the others in my galleries since it features a LOT of seemingly posed wedding photos.

I've photographed quite a few weddings at Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights and because of their construction zone, we headed out to find a bit of breathing room for family and wedding party photos. You almost never see these types of photos in my albums as they are usually quite stiff and usually there is little room for moments. As always, we were in a rush to get these done and get back to the hotel for the ceremony, but unlike most of my couples, Christina and Ryan were having a LOT of fun playing with their family members during the shoot. They are a very playful couple and I know that comes through in the photos.
I've included many photos from a quick sequence. Many are similar, but just slightly different. I wanted you to see the subtle differences. I certainly couldn't pick a favorite - I love them all! I also switched many of these into black and white since the light was perfect for that. But honestly, I love the pop of color in the bouquet as well so I left some of those in for you to see. So this is what happens when a couple starts playing on a wedding day. Other than those that needed to be in the family photos, there was no one else around. I loved capturing their playfulness, their spontaneity and of course, all those wedding photojournalistic moments!
