Emily and Jay got married at the Hope Lutheran Church in Warren, Michigan. I was able to get some nice photos in this bright, light church and was allowed side access so I could see their parent's reactions and a bit of theirs as well during the wedding ceremony. Afterwards, we headed out to Blossom Heath in St. Clair Shores for wedding photos. This park is a favorite for couples looking for nice wedding photos in Macomb County, Michigan. The only problem is that it's a gorgeous park surrounded by lots of busy looking things and it's really tough to hide all the nasty backgrounds, especially when it's March and freezing out.

Emily and Jay had their two best friends who were married to each other stand up for them, so working with a wedding party of four made my task much easier! The wedding photos I took at Blossom Heath became the covers for all my wedding album demos, so obviously I figured out a way to shoot around my obstacle! I'd never been a wedding photographer at Blossom Heath Inn before and was delighted by its cool dome and soft light. The staff was very nice and everything went well, except when Jay was nowhere to be found when their bridal dance started. I like to variety of unique wedding photos and reception photos I was able to get at Blossom Heath. I hope I get to go back there soon.
