Detroit Wedding Photographer's Scarab Club Art Museum Wedding: Ashleigh and Andrew flew in for their wedding after just completing their Peace Corps mission. Both were extremely laid back, happy to be getting married and all about just enjoying their wedding day that was almost completely planned and executed by their parents. Happy to play the role of bride and groom at their own wedding at downtown Detroit's Scarab Club, right next to the Detroit Institute of Art. They preferred to see each other before the Scarab Club wedding and get almost all of the photos out of the way. We wandered around the Detroit Institute of Art's block using the DIA as a wedding backdrop, then headed into the Scarab Club art museum for their wedding in the garden.

It was an extremely windy day and their chuppah blew down during the ceremony nailing the rabbi (who took it really, really well) on the head. The bridesmaid's reaction? To laugh, of course! I loved their speeches on the Scarab club's terrace where you can tell something Ashleigh's father said didn't sit too well with her mother! I loved that there was not only a lot of love at this Detroit Scarab Club wedding, but a lot of spontaneous, candid moments, perfect for this Detroit based wedding photojournalist. I really enjoyed how much both Andrew and Ashleigh enjoyed being in the moment of their wedding day.
