Sarah & Tim got hitched on one of those pesky Michigan days where it just can’t seem to make up its mind… to rain or not to rain… that was the question. So they decided with 24 hours to go to move their outdoor wedding inside the Village Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. While it did end up looking threatening, it never actually rained, so we did get all out photos done outside in the lovely overcast skies. This is one of those rare wedding locations in Michigan where the outdoors wedding space is lovely and the back up indoor wedding space is a great option as well.

One of the many things I like about the Village Club is that there is plenty of room for the wedding guests to spread out so everyone’s not bumping into each other. They also (unlike many, many other mainly outdoors Oakland County wedding venues) able to move the ceremony into a space that was quite grand, bright and lent itself to having a long aisle for Sarah to walk down.  The downstairs area was able to seat everyone comfortably and still have enough space on the dance floor to fit a full size band, Chateau (who are one of my favorites… hadn’t seen them in a few years and happy to know they’re as fabulous as always).

Okay, so Sarah and Tim were super relaxed and happy to have their wedding day focus on kids. Lots of nieces and nephews. Sarah was quite specific that I take lots of photos of all the little kids at their wedding. So while they and their awesomely playful wedding party were a lot of fun to shoot and always up for anything, today’s gallery is mainly about the kids. They were so cute, so silly and as always… wildly unpredictable. Later in the night as the kids started to wind down, the big kids (the bridal party) started to wind up. So kids being kids was the name of the game for this fun wedding at the Village Club.
