I travel 50 miles from my house in metro Detroit in order to shoot wedding photos. I attended the U of M and took classes in photography, but never thought I'd end up as a wedding photojournalist! I also shoot Detroit wedding photography which makes me a detroit wedding photographer. Please check out my galleries, portfolios and wedding photo albums. People often misspell my name and call me Marcy Curtis or Marcie Curtis, so I'm putting those in here in case that's how you think I spell my name. I used to work for the Ann Arbor news when I lived in Ann Arbor. I am a photojournalist, a job which I love and still do. This michigan wedding photojournalist studies wedding photography in order to make me a better wedding photographer. This couple wanted a lot of portraits of themselves and the church they were married in (in Troy, MI) provided a beautiful polished backdrop. The reception was at Indianwood golf course and we took several of our wedding portraits there. That's part of metro detroit and that makes me an Oakland County MI wedding photographer. That's in Oakland County, but I do travel to Macomb and Wayne and several other counties as well. I've been published all over the world in newspapers and magazines. I'm a Michigan wedding photojournalist and a MI wedding photographer who lives near Bloomfield MI. Some may think of this as part of my portfolio. Michigan wedding photography has been part of my job for over 15 years. This particular gallery was shot in Lake Orion MI near Rochester Michigan. If you were curious to know, I also write children's books and am an author and photo illustrator.
