If you're looking for a classic sample of work by Michigan wedding photojournalist and Ann Arbor wedding photographer Marci Curtis, you've come to the right place. My wedding photogarphy should give you a great behind the scenes peek at this Ann Arbor Michigan backyard wedding. This couple hosted their wedding at their Ann Arbor home which was largely gutted and being renovated and my job was to not only photograph what was happening to the couple, but to show everything that was happening to them and around them and behind their backs. I love the Scottish theme here and the playfulness of all the family and friends who gathered for their Ann Arbor backard wedding. Anne and Ormond got married in their Ann Arbor country back yard under a 300 year old oak tree strewn with ribbons. I loved all the activities planned for their wedding guests. They had a photo booth in their yard for guest to go play in while I was busy photographing the main events of the day and they had botchy ball, darts, a great swing and of course Scottish Highland games (check out Anne's great throw!). My favorite wedding caterer "Zingerman's" catered this Michigan back yard wedding and we've since combined on many wedding events since this wedding. My style of wedding photography is called photojournalism. I'm a trained photojournalist who's taken my skills that I gained while working for the Associalted Press and I use them to "cover" weddings, so each and every wedding end up looking like the wonderfully unique event that it truly is.
